At the end of February, I will be flying to Kona for my brother's wedding. I live in Boston, and usually take the BOS-SFO/LAX-KOA flight. In the past, I've been able to upgrade to First with miles, which was much needed given the length of travel.

Although I am short on miles this time around, I was again considering flying First because of the length of travel and given that I have not been back to Kona in 3+ years (I figured I'd treat myself a bit).

I guess I've been out of the loop for a bit as I noticed an ORD-KOA-ORD flight, with the flights being on a 777. I was considering this option to mix things up a bit from the usual travel legs.

Does anyone have comments or thoughts on this flight and how First is on a 777? Anytime I've flown United in First to Kona, it's always been on a 757.
