I am absolutely convinced that the bean counters at AA are the one's that rule the roost. And Arpey is either blind to what's really happening or he is part of them.

Whether the seats should lie truly flat, or the meals should be better and cost $5 more as a result or extra money should be spent to make sure the IFE works and gets changed out on schedule or you name it when it comes to the AA pax experience is strictly a function of who bolts to another airline and who's willing to pay for it on AA.

All our talk about what they should do and what we want comes down to who is willing to pay what for what.

If you want to see things change, let your voice be heard at AA.com or whatever mechanism gets you through to the powers that be AND THEN follow it up by reinforcing it with your wallets and flying someone else if you really think it matters.

Until then, you're whistling in the wind, IMO.
