Traveling with kids, would like to use public transportation as much as we can and minimal taxi fare. We will stay at Grand Hyatt and plan to move to a hotel closer to the airport for our last night before our 6am flight the next day. I don't see any airport hotel at TXL, any good suggestions? Thanks!

http://www.juwel-hotels.de/html/eng/Berlin/index.html fits that description. Yu need only 8 minutes by bus (X9) to the airport and they have rooms for 4 people at reasonable prices.
