This is usually a "copy & paste" answer: it depends! What kind of sights are you interested in (nature, snow, culture, museums, monuments) and so on.
A trip into the Alps? Sure - why not. You can go to Salzburg / Berchtesgaden, or in the Innsbruck area which are both nearby and easy to get to (if the weather is not too bad). Almost all hotels will offer a special price for weekenders but donīt expect them to be really cheap - this is high season in the ski-regions. If you are not intersted in snow or skiing, Iīd go to Salzburg wich offers some cultural highlights too (everything you ever wanted to know about Mozart) or consider the Lake Constance region.
