Mischief-making? There have been a couple of people who have described unlikely-sounding downgrade experiences. Both have been asked for further details - one has completely ignored the request, the other provided some scanty additional information which added little. You have to wonder why.

Was this an upgrade you had just been given at the gate, or one you'd previously confirmed within the window?
The answers are important, because it would be helpful for everyone to know if AC have silently changed their upgrade policies. OTOH, more details might point to a reasonable explanation of what went on under the present rules.
