As the subject says, I'm wondering how likely an equipment swap from an A320 to an aircraft with a smaller FC cabin (e.g. A319) is. I have to go to ORD for a Friday meeting (yuck), which means going out on Thursday afternoon since I don't like mid-con redeyes. The lowest Y-fare currently books into the MUAUP booking class, so it seats in F. Tough when that happens.

A colleague is also traveling with me on this flight and we want to sit together to prepare for the next day's meeting. We have a choice between row 1 or row 3. Personally, I prefer row 3 for the legroom. I am not particularly concerned with choice of meals. But, if the aircraft is swapped, I'm concerned about being downgraded.
