Why not take a day trip to Dubai, then fly Emirates to Male from there?

Will earn you UA miles, is a great city, and gets you to Male at 0740.

A bit out of the way coming from the Pacific, but you could fly from SIN - DXB, tour the city, then leave at 0230 en route to MLE.
