I am flying BA from LHR to Dubai next week and was wondering what the policy is on carrying tennis rackets on board.

My big tennis tour bag is too big to take as cabin baggage but I was planning to carry a couple of rackets by hand. Has anyone had any recent experience of this? They don't fit within the 56x45x25cm limits so I am not sure...
