We had a grand tour of th best Buddhist temple, lots of shopping (incl. my new favourite outlet for clothes, World of Fashion) and our trips around Colombo and out to Mt Lavinia, a great local beachside (beach house!) restaurant with fantastic fresh Sri Lankan seafood, gemstone shopping for the famous Sri Lankan 'diamond' white and pink and other hued sapphires and the Mt Lavinia Hotel.

A great day, only think we were paying too much for the tuk tuk!

After staying in Kuala Lumpur and now CMB, I've well and rtuly scratched the shopping itch and discovered tjhe nether regions of my credit card limit.
