If I check in but don't fly, do I still get awarded TPs?

Hi all

If I check in online for a flight and then simply not turn up, do I get awarded the TPs for that journey?

For the avoidance of doubt, I'm not looking for TPs to which I'm not entitled (e.g. by then rescheduling that flight to a later date and gaining a second set of TPs for the same ticket, which I've seen mentioned recently in another thread, and which seems to be rather fraudulent behaviour to me!).

Why, you may ask, would I want to do that? Well I have some flights to take in the next couple of days (remnants of an ex-EU trip). I need the TPs before the end of my membership year (end of next week) to hit 4,500 TPs. Normally I'd take the flight and spend the day shopping in that city, but I'm recovering from a really nasty virus and really don't want to fly anymore this week if I can get away with it!!!

BA shouldn't mind as they get the revenue. Environmentally it should be OK as I didn't fly (although presumably BA didn't sell that seat to anyone else). I suppose I might cause some delays for pax on that flight (although I doubt BA would delay the flight for me - if I didn't turn up, they'd just leave without me, particularly on this route as there are multiple flights a day).

So what's the likelihood of getting the TPs?

Cheers
