Well, perhaps. But given that you mentioned an elevator, we're presumably talking about a hotel with mutiple floors. @:-) And given multiple floors, we're probably talking about either 1) higher floors (the default), and/or 2) renovated floors, and/or 3) floors on which the rooms are larger.

At least that's been my experience.

Or, perhaps you've stayed at a multiple-story hotel somewhere where all the floors are on the same level?
