Separate topic - my silver upgrade cleared and put my girlfriend and I in 1D/1F on both outbound and inbound. I moved us on one of the flights to 2A/2C, and 1D/1F still remain blocked on the seat map. That's annoying if I wanted to move back.

Row 1 is always blocked on the seat map and the only way to get it is to call in.

I don't know about your flight, but I'm still seeing A321 exit rows as preferred only on other flights, including the one I'm on tomorrow. Maybe it's a super bowl weekend thing for PHX flights?
