she has no *A FF membership yet. IN March we are flying NZ PE LAX-AKL-MEL one way. No idea when she would fly *A again.

Any suggestions on maximising her miles/potential miles? (BTW she's on a children's ticket - I think 25% discount - if that's relevant for miles accrual)
