Another long-term Virgin pre-paid SIM user. The SIM doesn't seem to expire while you have reasonable credit - I've been well in excess of 6 months (the stated period for service to expire) without usage and it still works.

It also roams here in Australia so I can send the occasional text to keep the connection active.
