Even if they did offer 100% EQM on cheap fares booked with corporate travel offices, I would still like to be able to upgrade the AmEx booked flights with my own $ on the website (hopefully without wasting time calling someone and being put on hold) with no change fee if done with in 24 hours of booking.

I would sometimes upgrade to a Y so I could Y-up, tried this before by calling but NOT waiving the change fee was the deal breaker.

Perhaps I should have played the hang up & try again game since CO customer service is inconsistent and maybe I could have eventually go a CSR who would have waived the change fee for upgrading; but if CO wants the extra $ (which is why they cut EQM on cheap seats) then they should make it easier to pay more $ (upgrade with the extra fee).

ALSO >>Remember that CO only pays 50% EQM on ALL cheap seats but gives PAX who book on CO.com the 50% that was taken away back to encourage CO.com website bookings. Remember that they also gave an extra 500 miles for CO.Com website again to encourage PAX to book their own flights with CO directly and without having to use the reservation phone line.

Once CO decides that enough PAX are using the website and won't change their habits if the 50% refund for using CO.com is removed; they will make a system "enhancement" and the 50% EQM give back for cheap seats booked on CO.com will go away just like the 500 mile booking bonus. So for those of you who don't have to use AmEx and can book directly on CO.com, enjoy 100% EQM on cheap seats while it last, it won't last forever!!!
