Dropping to Platinum due to a brief change in travel patterns this year. I will be flying enough to make CP this year, if I do not move to DL (I was comp'ed to Gold).

I was offered the ability to buy up to CP for $2,600. Thinking GoEnvoy is the way to go on TATL. Will lose 25% of bonus and some upgrades, however I knw that the UG process at gate is not straight. PP have been upgraded before me on the shuttle. Many GA's are uncertain about process.

I am not going to pay the money. Should I use DL? Call CP desk again? Have started fling the DL shuttle but prefer US aircraft and single malt. Frankly the $2,600 buy up makes me feel insulted after so many years as a CP and I am tempted to move for this reason alone. I used to be a PM with DL and would have made it this year with my flying patterns. US has made things really difficult for segment qualifiers.
