sjuhawk_jd has resurrected a message from 2005, when Chairman Mastercard was first introduced. A few things have changed in both programs, such as Chairman card morphing from Mastercard to Amex network, and a redesign of the ThankYou Fixed Flight redemption option.

For my travel pattern it requires about twice as many ThankYou points as airline miles to claim the same business class transatlantic reward. The Flight Points feature makes it is easy to earn two TY points per dollar, minimum. This means the amount of card spending required to earn an airline award with ThankYou is less than with Club Rewards, but the ticket price cap on Fixed Flight redemptions also makes it difficult for me to use within about six weeks of travel date.

For hotel redemptions Diners is unchallenged by ThankYou.
