THE CREEPING DEVALUATION OF 1K BENEFITS

With UA increasing the number of routes it re-assigns to it's UX contractors who use mickey mouse aircraft like CRJs, the usefulness of 1K benefits implodes to flee size pleasures.

Here is what I mean: I do more segements on CRJs instead of UA Bs and As. Because there are diminishing air routes seved on As and Bs. I get full credit for the segments in the form of "1K status". With the the diminishing flights on As and Bs there is no use for E+ or upgrades, or them air-currency coupns. You are lucky if you get water on CRJ... . All CRJs are first class as the F/As proudly tells us.

Now guess who recognized it? UA.
Two weeks ago I upgraded DTW <=> ORD by using SWU.
I recieved for it a total of 10,500 miles credit, on my account. Here is the way I think it worked: 1000 for paid miles+1,000 for bonus miles+1,000 miles for United.com purchase + 3,750 additional bonus for each segment (x2).
I still have two SWU expiring at the end of March. May try to do another run like that.
Market value of 7,500 miles? About $75, give or take some pennies.
