I currently have 60K miles with Virgin, which appears to be enough to book two round-trip fares in conjunction with their current 20% off promotion (30K each).

Does anyone know if it is possible to use these miles to book two reward fares for two separate people (ie, my husband and myself)? This would be instead of purchasing one regular fare and one companion reward fare.

Alternatively, if Virgin only allows the holder of the miles to book a reward fare (eg, just one), is it still possible to transfer miles to other Virgin members? Previously, I have been able to transfer sufficient frequent flyer miles to my husband in order for him to book his own reward flights (he is also a Virgin member), but this was several years ago and I am not sure if this is still the case.
