It's highly unlikely they will give you access to Admirals Clubs until you are departing from Honolulu to Australia - then it will be the joint Qantas C/ Admirals Club, much closer to Qantas departures than AA departures.

That day, you will need to follow the International Departures rules for the airport and airline (QF, I imagine,) as well as submit your international travel documents (don't forget Australia requires you to have a visa or an ETA, an Electronic Travel Authority.)

Er, you are actually looking for the gate for flight 283 to Los Angeles - one segment at a time, as the seven steppers say (or not.) You won't know what gate the flight departs from until the day of the flight - you can check it online, or you can call the automated FLIFO ( Dial-AA-Flight Information) at 800.223.5436. (This is a good number to have in your cell phone directory, along with the OSO (Off-Schedule Operations) Desk - 800.446.7834, and your Platinum tel. number (in case things go wrong; it's often much easier / faster to call whilst everyone is queuing up at a counter.)

Also, check this Miami International Airport information on aa.com. (Yes, I moved your "which gate do we check in" post to this thread; no need for a new one.
You are always a wealth of information, thank you for covering it all for me. Wasn't sure if I should start a new thingy for that gate question. I have had difficulty checking in online before, they say I can't when traveling with a child. Maybe now we can?
I put that FLIFO # in my phone and will ring on the drive down. Thanx
When you say Qantas C/AC much closer to Qantas departures are you referring to proximity?

My friend works for AC and she got my visas last year and did it again for me this year. My passport expires in June so my visa does too. I can renew it all in Aus if love is in the air.

What is off schedule operations desk?

Thank you thank you thank you everyone here is so helpful. It's made my nerves calm down some.
