Physics is indeed physics, but a Cessna is not a 747 and approach pitch attitudes are very different between the two. Place the nose below the horizon on a big jet and you will rapidly see the speed run away from you on a big jet even without thrust. If they had momentarily put the nose below the horizon (and that is a very unnatural feeling in a jet that size) they may well have had to pitch up to contain the speed excursion. However that is nothing more than speculation and I'm sure the investigation will reveal the true pitch attitudes involved as opposed to what we all thought we saw.



From two miles out I can clearly see all of those from my 747 pulling 5 degrees of pitch and I doubt the crash aircraft got much more than that or they'd have stalled much earlier.


All fine points I am sure. But it's not only myself and cessna pilots that have raised this question about the pitch so it must have some merit. As I said in the first post, the investigation will reveal every move made so we can all draw our final conclusions at that point.
