Well... here appears to be the bottom line. I was going to ticket this fare today but I called the 1K desk and asked. The $790 fare I got is a "non published fare", and therefore I was told its not upgradable.

The outbound segments are on a QHXSGDCM fare, and the inbound segments are QHWSGDCM.

I then asked the 1K agent to get me the lowest upgradable fare, and she said she could get me an H fare that was published but that would come out to $1120.

Conclusion, SWU's have been greatly devalued....
