Gee, I live in Del Mar and have always searched for CLD pricing, but both timetables and pricing were not-doable, though I loved the idea of free parking and a hassle-free airport, both are good offsets for the small puddle-jumper to PHX. But to pay a few hundred dollars more and time-constrained to one/two odd-timed flights a day (when I need more flexibility like those Eastbound red-eyes... read: SAN-CLT), CLD never made any sense -- ever.
