I don't think this can be done online but maybe you can raise this point to see if the fee can be waived. It will also be interesting to see what exchange rate they will use. Charging $100 for Star Alliance booking is ridiculars. All this is to say "this is only to fulfill Star requirement and we do not want you to book partner rewards."
