I just called reservations -- since $1300 for a non-refundable fare just didn't sound *quite* right... ;-)

At least in my particular case, "E" is a fully-refundable fare with some restrictions. In the "fare hierarchy" it sits between "H" and "M". The full fare code is EBIZX if anyone cares (courtesy of expertflyer.com)... I was told by the res agent that there were no EQM bonuses, but it was eligible for upgrades with miles/CR1/SWU.

Anyway... it's a data point.
