UA causes bank account overdraft - responsibility?

So, the other day, I was ticketing a few reservations at the airport. They were held and properly documented that I was using paper $50 vouchers. The cost without the voucher was supposed to be $120.50. One agent is working with me, and he ends up being called down to airside to help out. A female agent takes over and finishes under his login. Before he left, he told me the correct fare of 120.50 and remarked jokingly that those fares are why UA is in financial trouble. She slid my debit card and out came a bluey for me to sign. However, the ticket price had jumped to 380.50! Oh boy.

She worked first to find the correct fare in the history to make sure I wasn't lying. Then a call to the help desk, then finally they got a refund processed. However, the charge processed to my card. She blamed the computer for automatically booking it into H class due to the 14 day advance purchase rule. (I held the rez outside of the 14 days, but came in 13 days before)

In the end, I scrape up what little cash I have and manage to pay for the reservation. They said it was going to be canceled if I did not ticket it that day. Now I am broke til my next payday, Friday, because the refund has not come through. On top of all that, my bank has charged me a $35 fee for -$29 in the hole in my account. I think UA is responsible, right?

O yea, just to add, they tried to charge me the $20 ticketing fee and said 1Ks get nothing waived. I argued that and gave up. They decided to waive it as a one time exception after all this happened.
