Air France 358
I would like to suggest that most of the people who have posted comments in this thread about the Air France 358 procedures and crew actions have not read the report or been involved in any of the investigations into the accident.
Please read the report in an open minded way. It is worth reading as a passenger let alone as a pilot or cabin crew member. You may notice some very significant points in relation to the cabin chief's initial verbal instructions, the information flow within the cabin when Door 3 crew member ran to the cabin chief to inform him that the aircraft was on fire, the authority levels for ordering an evacuation (let alone the ability of the Pilot Flying to command a go-around), the setting and use of the evacuate command button as well as the time delay to evacuate.
Number of flights on Air France last year = Nil.
Happy landings
