I am getting married in Germany in May. I have a return flight to the USA already booked for September. My passport doesn't expire until next April, so I didn't plan on changing the name until after this trip. However, I will need to book a round trip ticket from the USA to Germany to come back to Germany in September. This means that I could book it in my maiden name, but that my new passport would be in my married name for the second half of this ticket. Any advice on how to best handle this? Also, my marriage certificate will be in German. Will I need this then translated before I fly in case I need to show it?
