Guh. Goodbye alpine route, I never knew ye. Although, I wouldn't be against carrying it, as long as the bus/transport guys didn't mind it sitting there next to me, taking up space. Reckon that plan's a winner?

Or I can, as suggested, look into seeing some pretty mountain views elsewhere, for less money altogether. I'll get back at the guidebooks. Suggestions appreciated.
