And don't get me started on the plastic curtain. If you have it hanging inside the tub it's usually very disgusting and you just want to avoid any contact. If you leave it hanging outside, guess what, you flood the bathroom.
My solution to the flooding problem: Use handheld shower and stand with your back towards the wall on the long side of the tub. Then the water that doesn't run down your body runs down the wall and into the tub. => No or very little water on the floor.
