To the OP's original question: I agree that the SF Marriott downtown is the most convenient Marriott propery to the Castro by virtue of its close access to BART/MUNI and the F Trolley on Market St. I really miss the Parc 55 after it was de-flagged as a Marriott brand because all of the above transportation was literally right at it's front door.
