Can I book a stand alone child reward ticket?

I want to book a ticket using my Miles and More points for a child. I have enough on Air NZ to book two tickets and want to use my M&M to book a third ticket.

The child will be 7 when flying. They won't be on their own. But is it allowed to book a ticket - without an adult in the same booking?

We will be flying MEL - BKK (stopover) - LAX and return on Thai (straight through no stopover).

I will be using my Air NZ airpoints to book two tickets for wife and one child in business class. Once those are confirmed, will use my M&M points for my second child and then buy a ticket for myself.

Will either M&M or Thai get upset about a ticket for a 7 year one being booked?

If I can't get the 3rd ticket using FF points then will buy two business class tickets, but would rather use the money for better accomodation in Disneyland.

Have enough points for 4 tickets on UA, MEL - LAX but can't see flight availability in business class.

How many points will it take? Is this classed as 3 regions?
