I don't know whether "boutique" hotels count, but when I stayed at Hotel Habita in MEX (Polanco neighborhood, ("the hot hotel in the city's most stylish neighborhood," according to Frommer's) I recall a
big shower in a marble bathroom, but no tub.
Big as in, you could sing in the shower and have room for an audience.
