One thing I noticed when doing some online baggage shopping recently was that there doesn't seem to be a consistent way to perform measurements--many you see online include every possible bit of the bag--wheels that stick out on the bottom, a handle that sticks out on the top. If you're interested in actual packable dimensions of the bag, that is often not readily available online.
