Welcome to FT !

Amanpuri is certainly a great property, but too expensive for what is deliverd compared to other properties in Phuket.

It was the first Aman and the pavillons and bathroom show it.

If you don't have a package you will be charged a lot of money for absolutely everything, but service (including room service) is perfect, like being a guest in a refined friends home.

The whole property is on a hill. So a lot of walking over stairways is involved. From the pavillons to the reception (spa / restaurant) and from there a big stairway down to the beach club.

The beach is good for swimming, but considering that most rooms have no seaview, I would choose other options in Phuket. For much less money and for much better food (food quality is the problem at Amanpuri) I would highly recommend Mom Tri's Villa Royale which is a real boutique property.
