How ridiculous to schedule an airshow that affects a major airport like Changi. The government of Singapore should be totally ashamed of themselves for making such a stupid decision. How often do they hold this airshow? Glad I didn't schedule any trips though SIN during that period. I would expect a stupid move like this by a lot of the third world countries but I never considered Singapore to be a third world country. I realize that space is very limited in Singapore but they shouldn't allow the airshow to even happen if they can't do it without affected Changi which is a huge source of income to the country.
This was not done at the last minute.
Singapore has been having airshows almost every year for almost 20+ years and the venue is near Changi.
Ample time has been given to the airlines to inform them of airspace closures and it is up to the airlines to re-arrange the schedules and rebook affected customers accordingly.
