In Frankfurt when flying LH they don't do it. Seems DUS is more strict but I think we both agree that ID Check at security is wrong. What right has a security checker in Germany to see your ID? This people are employeed by the airport and not a law enforcement agency.

The ID check before getting on board the plane has sometime ssomehting to do with the rule that luggage from people that are really on board is loaded. Especially when the aiport or airline doesn't use electronic boarding pass readers they want to see an ID.
