Zone 5 to zone 2 - connecting flight included or not?

Hi everybody,

I find the rule concerning connecting flights a bit inconclusive, hence I need your help for the following scenario:

Say you fly one way from zone 5 to zone 2, and you need to connect, would that be included in the 30.000 Miles needed or not?

If I read "All connecting flights for journeys where the final destination is within zone 1 or zone 2 will be charged at 7500 miles" literally, I would indeed need another 7.500 miles, however, this would not be the case for the same flight in the opposite direction, zone 2 to zone 5.

Can it be, that this is really intended, or is it just an oversight on BD's part and they really mean flights between zone 2 and 5, regardless of direction of travel, include one connection?

Thanks in advance for your kind help.
