YVR-DAL-SJO return. On their return, on Dec 24, the outbound SJO-DAL was delayed due to crew rest requirements. This would ensure that they missed the DAL-YVR leg.
Those ERJs on Eagle must be pretty stealthy, violating federal law by flying from Love Field to Canada.
I'm naturally kidding; you very likely meant DFW (Dallas/Fort Worth International; AA's main hub) instead of DAL (Dallas Love Field; AA has no presence here, though AE does, and international flights are barred).
ANYWAY, veering back to the on-topic road, I'm thrilled AA handled this the way they did. They probably made a very happy customer, especially on a busy travel day, instead of simply leaving them stuck in the airport. Hopefully they had a great taste of First, and I wish I'd get that lucky during IROPS.
