So really i'm looking for comparisons against the The Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort Villas

TIA
Disclaimer: I own a timeshare at the Westin villas (north). Personally, I find it very difficult to stay in a "regular" hotel room anymore, especially with kids. Your sleep patterns are completely different and it's no fun trying to stay quiet while the kids nap or sleep. And forget about, ahem, intimate time when you have a child sleeping a foot away.

The studios are perfectly fine for a couple. You'll get a nice kitchenette and washer/dryer. However, there are some downsides, the most important being that there is no lanai off studios on the original (south) side and you won't get a separate bedroom. If studios are the only thing you can get, try to get the north side, so you'll have your own lanai.

If you can book a 1 bdrm villa, that would be ideal. You can put the wee one in the bedroom for naps and still be able to watch t.v. in the living room and/or sit on your lanai while she's sleeping. I know owners can book 1 bdrms for 16,000 StarPoints, but I'm not sure if they extend this to non-owners. It's worth a call.

Also, WKORV (Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas) are located north of Black Rock, so you won't have the oceanfront path like you will at the Westin or Sheraton. However, there's a nice beach out front, a great pool, and a beautiful facility.
