While Olympia-Seattle service could start soon and may be viable for now, if the transit advocates get their way, it could eventually be a lot easier to get between Olympia, Tacoma and Seattle (and Sea-Tac) by rail transit. I think any OLM-SEA service would be as good as dead at that point. (That is in the distant future, though, so maybe a profit could be made on that run between now and then.)
Another destination I'd personally like to see, since I have family there and travel there often, is SBP (San Luis Obispo, CA). Four other regionals already serve the airport, so while the traffic levels may be there, I don't know if a fourth carrier would be successful.
(At the same time, two out of the four regionals give mileage and Q miles, so QX really wouldn't offer much of an advantage.)
Would BFL be a big enough market for commercial success? I'm looking at QF's route map and looking for holes in the west coast. Eastward expansion is obviously open, but I wonder if they've got their home turf fully covered, too.
