Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
Yes.

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked a superior room (Reward Nigth, Pointsbreak).
E-mailed hotel about RA upgrade - was told upgrade would be to "classic" Junior Suite. Asked for the modern rooms with Club Access and was offered a) Deluxe Club Room (+65 Euros) or b) Club Junior Suite (+ 119 Euros).
Decided to take the Club Junior Suite.

How are the rooms?
Club Junior Suite was in very modern design and spacious (about 75 sqm).
Room was smelling of smoke (I mailed them two days before to get a non-smoking room). Was told that the room was non-smoking but the last guest has unfortunately been smoking in there - she will see what she can do as they only have two Club Junior Suites.
Came back about two hours later and received the new keys - she told me that I have been upgraded to a Club Senior Suite.
Very nice suite (about 100 sqm). Wooden floor, large bathroom with sep. bathtub and great rainshower and TV, large livingroom with sofas, B&O TV + Stereo, diningtable for six persons. And a wonderful view over the Tiergarten.

How is the exec. lounge?
The lounge itself is very modern decorated.
Great breakfast with eggs & omelettes to order (you have to ask for it - there is no menu!).
Small snacks in the afternoon and evening (nothing that fills you up - you still need to get a real meal).
Open bar from 6pm. Nearly undrinkable red wine, cheap sekt (no champagne) but good selection of liquors.

What was good and what was bad?
Good: Great suite / upgrade with 5000 points + 119 Euros
All RA benefits offered on reward stay (minibar, movie, late-check-out)
Nice spa with large pool & jacuzzi

Bad: No RA present, no welcome letter. Received three pieces of fruit + 2 bottles of local water + three small chocolates
Service was not among the best experienced at an IC in Germany.
Minibar: Only a few bottles of water, orange & apple juice, one cola, one red bull, two bottles of beer - no wine or champagne and no spirits!

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?
Yes, on Pointsbreak - otherwise the Club rooms are very expensive (about 280 Euros for the Standard Club Room in January / February)
