My first international flying was on the 777 out of Chicago, then the 767 out of IAD. When I first went back to SFO and was flying the 757 to the islands, I remember thinking "what do you mean we don't have ACARS?"??? I was on the 767 at SFO as recently as last March. You've not truly loved HF until you've heard an ARINC operator read you the entire ETOPS WX message over HF...
I guess I don't consider Hawaii the Pacific anymore - all of our 777 and 747 flights to Asia have CPDLC. It's much more civilized...
