This time last year I had an AF RT IAD>CDG ticket through DL. I called DL and asked for the AF confirmation number which is different from the DL confirmation number. They gave it to me. I called AF and gave them the AF confirmation number and they were able to assign me and my companion seats as I requested and were very nice about it. She even told me that my seat assignments on Delta's web site would most likely NOT show the new seats but she emailed me the reservation with the changes. Now I understand after the reference to amadeus and worldspan.

I did not have the kind of problems that are being cited here. These were award seats. Would that make a difference?


... oh did I mention that I called Air France IN France and NOT the US 800 number? Did I mention that I started the conversation in French and the agent offered (in French) to speak in English if I would prefer? I really don't know if calling the French CSR line really matters but I got the seats I wanted. Biz too!
