I bought mine during one of my trans-pacific trip through duty free (and used $25 discount coupon). It's well worth it if you fly a lot on 747, 777, and some Airbuses.

For me it has been well worth it. I have been using frequently on most of my trip. But, lately 777 had their powers off for laptop connections .
