Email SPAM to your "United" email account?
Hello -- not sure if this applies to many of you, but I happen to use a specific email account that is 100% dedicated with my correspondence (reservations, Easy Updates, e-newsletters, etc.) with United. I am meticulous about managing my use of my email addresses, and the address itself has the "ua" character string in the email address to reinforce to me what I'm using it for. Also, this isn't a gmail or hotmail or yahoo account, but, rather, a private domain that I use widely and seems not to be subject to any spam (thankfully.!) A few days ago, I started receiving a litany of viagra and other SPAM-type ads, specifically addressed to this email account. Has anyone in a similar situation experienced any lapse of security around United's usage of your email address? I realize that there could be a number of reasons why this is happening, that are perhaps outside of United's control. You could write to me and tell me I've used a spoofed Wifi connection, or that there is a general SPAM problem being directed across my whole email domain, etc. But just wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar...
