For what it's worth, I have never seen this, and would voice my strong opinions if it were to ever happen.
I've seen bottles being confiscated from passengers at CDG, at gates 8x (the bldg reached by bus) on at least two occasions in late 2006 on the way to the US. Screaming didn't help... But they may have changed the rules. And as for "loud complaining", a couple of months ago the security agent at BCN called the police because I dared swear in Greek (although he certainly didn't know what I "said"), and I almost missed my flight.

Not that it matters, and therefore sorry for being fussy, but water is not a mix! H2O is a molecule As for the conspiracy, never thought of that; if Bush and Blair do indeed own shares of duty free stores you could be right.
