I don't want this to come across as mean or cruel so please don’t take it that way, but I think you need to keep in the back of your mind to be realistic in your expectations. It's great that you're so excited and it's your first FIRST. I remember that feeling! I still get a tinge of excitement when I'm in F not J on BA too in fact. And I had the same feeling of anticipation when I tried LH F and their FCT at FRA for the first time recently. BUT, please just don't build it up to be something it can never possibly be or you will be disappointed and back here on the 8th of Feb with a laundry list of complaints
Remember, it is still 'only' a flight and there's only so good it can be. It's not a 4-poster bed, the food isn't Michelin starred, etc. If you've only flown Y before you'll find it a world of difference. But if you've flown international business (especially CW) before then the step up is not quite as huge.
And before someone says 'what a sad indictment of BA FIRST if you have to warn people not to expect too much' - this applies to all such situations IMHO, not just BA. More regular users here can (and will, regularly) pick several faults with BA F (and although far from a very regular F customer, I can agree with some of them too) but I think sometimes people don't always expect something realistic in the first place, especially the first time.
My top tip is don't obsess about what to expect from the really minor things (like if F boards before CW) because in aggregate if they go wrong, it may mar your overall experience which I hope will otherwise be fantastic. My second top tip is what
Urban Sun said - do let the crew know it's your first FIRST and they will no doubt go the extra mile (I did this on my trip and it was fantastic, did it when I took my brother on his first trip too and they fussed over him something chronic!).
Finally, to get a better idea of what to expect, there's a 'Making the most of F' guide in the sticky on the front page, and also it's worth searching for some trip reports over in the TR Forum:

Fraser's in particular are very useful. I tend to favour the 'overly detailed' approach so the couple I did on BA F (including my first trip to/from YVR) contain info on lots of the minutiae if you are interested.
I hope you have a great birthday trip and really enjoy your first FIRST!
