I fly JFK-LHR roughly 15 RT per year. Have been doing so the past 6 years. Typically use VIP's or miles to upgrade. In those 90 RT's, I have received an op-up from J to F once.

Moral of the story...expect to sit in J, and if an upgrade to F happens, be very surprised (and grateful!)
