Now I come to think of it, I wonder why BA flies a 747 to Phoenix 5 or 6 days a week, rather than a 767 or 777 every day?
So Texas is still a premium destination. A BA B777 is purrfect.

The Rolls Royce engined aircraft had them fitted but theres only 16 actually 15 of which only 10 have first class. 3 are on the SYD run on any one day so theres not much flex. 6 744s a week provides the same capacity ish as 7 777s.
Plus they've got an abundance of B747s available. A B767 would be way to small. No first, 24 seat club, tiny cargo load (relative to B747/B777 which can take standard LD3 containers in abundance)
